Rest Announces Appointment of John O’Sullivan as New Chief Financial Officer

Rest, one of Australia's leading Superannuation Fund, Appoints John O’Sullivan as Chief Financial Officer.

The newly appointed Chief Financial Officer, John O’Sullivan, will play a crucial role within Rest, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Vicki Doyle. This key position on Rest’s Executive Leadership Team will see Mr. O’Sullivan leading Rest’s Finance & Investment Operations (F&IO) team. In this capacity, he will be responsible for overseeing financial strategy, management and reporting, valuations, actuarial, portfolio governance, taxation, and investment operations.

Mr. O'Sullivan joins Rest after 15 years of experience at Ernst & Young. He previously collaborated with Rest for the past five years as a consultant. His recent role involved stepping in to lead the F&IO team during the recruitment process for the Fund’s new Chief Financial Officer. With over 20 years of experience across banking, insurance, and superannuation, Mr. O’Sullivan is a seasoned financial services executive and a qualified actuary.

He will join Rest as CFO from 22 January 2024.
